Is it true that a business should have a well establish image? if the
products and customer service is good, I feel the image is secondary.

well... well...THE WAY THEY SEE YOU, THEY TREAT YOU! In general A "poor image" will bring you "poor customers" and a "good image" will bring you "good customers.” We say this in a respectful way to illustrate the point.
